In 1928, Richard Bergin Sr. started R.F. Bergin Heating and Sheet Metal as a one man operation. Eleven years later, Richard Bergin, Jr. took over the business and added several employees to the company. After graduation from Cedarburg High School in 1945, Clifford Bergin joined his brother in the family business and it was renamed Bergin Heating & Sheet Metal. Several years later, in 1948, the Bergin family moved company operations from their basement to a shop in Thiensville on Main Street, two years later adding a store and office at 175 S. Main while expanding into the plumbing business to give customers complete service. Between 1950 and 1960, the company continued to grow, adding still more specialties including insulation, fire sprinkling systems and electrical. In the late 60's and early 70's, the company had grown to nearly 125 employees and was now called "Bergin Service".

In 1982, the current company, CLIFF BERGIN & ASSOCIATES,INC. was formed, adding Cliff's son Gary Bergin, Robert Depies and Donald Hostetter as partners. Between the four of them, there is nearly 150 years of combined experience in the Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing industry. Today at CLIFF BERGIN & ASSOCIATES,INC. more than half of our employees have been with us over ten years. We specialize in service, repair and remodeling in addition to some new construction. All of our technicians are factory-trained and update their skills on a regular basis.
